EEUM projects win IDEA-UMinho Funding Programme

On 30 October, the IDEA-UMinho Centre announced the projects funded under the second call for proposals for the 2025 edition of the Programme to Support Innovation and Development Projects in Teaching and Learning.

Of the four winning projects in this second call for 2025, three are led by members of the School of Engineering, namely Orlando Belo, lecturer in the Department of Informatics, Miguel Brito, lecturer in the Department of Information Systems, and Vítor Monteiro, lecturer in the Department of Industrial Electronic Engineering.

This programme aims to support the creation, consolidation or expansion of communities of practice that seek to raise the quality of teaching practices. The proposals were evaluated by an inter-institutional jury and each project received funding of up to €1,000.

Since 2018, the programme has funded a total of 54 projects, promoting collaboration between colleagues with a focus on pedagogical transformation. The funded projects have generated changes in teaching practices, positively impacting the experience and success of students at our institution.
