Between 28 and 30 July, the School of Engineering welcomed a delegation from the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences, composed of the following representatives: Ly Hõbe, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Eneken Titov, Professor of Management and member of the board of AS Mainor (Ülemiste Smart City), Mari Taalmann, Director of Internationalisation, Olga Ubakin, HR partner and curriculum director (Business Management), and researchers Olha Prokopenko and Mare Kurvits.
At the School of Engineering, the delegation had the opportunity to meet and interact with the heads of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the MEtRICs Research Centre, as well as visiting some of their laboratories. There was also an opportunity to meet with the President of the Pedagogical Council, Professor Lígia Rodrigues, and the Vice-President of the School of Engineering, Professor António Vicente, in order to strengthen institutional relations and explore new opportunities for collaboration. The delegation was also welcomed by DONELab, on the Azurém campus, and on the Gualtar campus by the School of Economics, Management and Political Science, by the Internationalisation Support Services Unit, in interaction with the Vice-Rector of UMinho, Professor Hernani Gerós.
The visit was facilitated by José Machado, professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and researcher at MEtRICs, who recently visited Estonia at TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology, as part of the Erasmus Programme.
