Daniel Vitorino approved in the Habilitation Exams

Daniel Vitorino de Castro Oliveira, Associate Professor at the School of Engineering of the University of Minho, was unanimously approved by the members of the Jury in the Habilitation Exams in the branch of knowledge in Civil Engineering.

The public Habilitation Exams in the Civil Engineering branch of knowledge, requested by Doctor Daniel Vitorino de Castro Oliveira, took place on 20 January at the University of Minho’s Azurém Campus.

The jury was chaired by Dr Paulo José Brandão Barbosa Lourenço, Full Professor of the Civil Engineering Department of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho, and the members were Dr Rita Maria do Pranto Nogueira Leite Pereira Bento, Full Professor of the Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment Department of the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon; Dr Humberto Salazar Amorim Varum, Full Professor of the Civil Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto; Dr Joaquim António Oliveira de Barros, Full Professor of the Civil Engineering Department of the Engineering School of the University of Minho; Dr António Gomes Correia, Retired Full Professor of the Civil Engineering Department of the Engineering School of the University of Minho and Dr José Vieira de Lemos, Coordinating Researcher of the Concrete Dams Department of the National Civil Engineering Laboratory.

The Habilitation degree is awarded to professors with a professional curriculum of high merit who demonstrate relevant activity in terms of advanced research, training or guidance, and the authorship of scientific work of recognised quality after obtaining a doctorate.
