The inauguration of the EEUM Production and Information Systems Department Directors’ Gallery, located in building 11 on the Azurém campus of the University of Minho, took place on 11 December.

The event brought together members of the academic community in a celebration that highlighted the department’s fundamental role over the years.

The gallery, located in the hall of the DPS Meeting Room in Azurém, is made up of paintings depicting each of the directors who have led the department since its creation.

The current director of the DPS, Professor Paulo Sampaio, opened the ceremony with a brief speech – ‘The gallery initiative has made it possible to recover the history of the DPS and value the people who helped build it. This gallery is a tribute to the history of our department and the work of all those who have passed through or are still here. Each of the directors has made a unique contribution to the growth of the DPS.’

The honorees present recalled some of the highlights of their tenure and thanked the team that worked with them.

The event ended with a toast that provided a moment of integration and celebration among the participants.
