Miguel Azenha, professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and researcher at ISISE, was invited to speak at the Erasmus Mundus Annual Conference 2025 in his capacity as Director of the European Master’s Degree in BIM A+ at the School of Engineering.

The professor participated in the session dedicated to academic sustainability and the ability to attract talent, presenting the work he has been developing within the scope of this joint master’s degree. It should be noted that this was initially a master’s degree funded by the European Commission, becoming self-sustaining after that initial funding.

In the words of Miguel Azenha ‘This is an invitation that honours the internationalisation of the School of Engineering at the University of Minho, as well as its ability to attract international talent. The guarantee of excellence of this European Master’s degree after the funded period justified this opportunity, which further promotes this teaching project and several others of a similar nature at the School and the University.’

This was another opportunity for the School of Engineering to see its educational offerings recognised and to continue promoting them internationally.
