On April 16, at 9:30 a.m., the Textile Engineerin department’s meeting room hosted the swearing-in of the department’s new board of directors. Professors Miguel Ângelo Carvalho, as director, and André Paulo Almeida Whiteman Catarino (remaining from the previous directorate) took office.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by a number of the department’s teachers and staff, as well as the President of the School of Engineering, Professor Pedro Arezes, the Vice-Presidents Professors António Vicente and Raúl Fangueiro, and the secretary of the School of Engineering, Dr. Ana Paula Brites, as well as the previous director of the department, Professor Hélder Carvalho, who symbolically handed over the keys to the department to the new director.

The School of Engineering is grateful for the commitment and dedication of the previous department director and wishes the new board every success for this term!
