A team from the Algoritmi Centre of the School of Engineering of UMinho was distinguished with one of the “Best Paper Awards” of the international conferences MIS4TEL, PAAMS, DCAI, BLOCKCHAIN, ISAmI, PACCBB and DECON, held from 12 to 14 July in Guimarães. The events brought together more than 300 experts in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science from around the world.

The award-winning paper, “Intelligent Systems in Healthcare: an Architecture Proposal”, was authored by researchers António Chaves, Larissa Montenegro, Hugo Peixoto, António Abelha, Luís Mendes Gomes and José Machado.
