Last March 22, the CEB opened its doors to 100 students from the Alcaides de Faria School in Barcelos, as part of the water day celebration.
During the day, the following lectures were held: “Microorganisms and waste: allies in the fight against water pollution”, with Bruna Silva, “Biotechnology at the service of water” with Gilberto Martins, and “Protozoa: the forgotten collaborators of Wastewater Treatment Plants” with Ana Nicolau.
The students also had the opportunity to visit 3 laboratories of the Center for Biological Engineering to witness the daily life of researchers in various areas of activity of the center.
