The app Smart Pedestrian Assistant (SPA) is a pedestrian navigation tool developed as part of the project SPN: Smart Pedestrian Net – Smart cities are walkable: SPN – a model to plan a pedestrian network and a pedestrian navigation system.

This app allows the users to define daily or occasional pedestrian routes for their trips.

The app aims at promoting the pedestrian mode as a daily mode of transport for its benefits for health and for urban environment.

The app provide assistance to users in finding locations and in defining pedestrian routes according to their preferences, needs and purpose of walking. The app Smart Pedestrian Assistant (SPA) is only available for Android systems and with an intuitive and easy-to-use English interface.
