Rosa Vasconcelos, student ombudsman of Universidade do Minho and professor of the School of Engineering was re-elected vice-president of the IEEE Education Society, a worldwide society of professionals dedicated to ensure high quality education in science and engineering.

IEEE Education Society is one of the oldest technical societies of IEEE – Advancing Technology for Humanity. Its members engage students daily in its initiatives, investigate new theories in science learning and innovate classroom practice.

With a degree in Textile Engineering by UMinho, Rosa Vasconcelos continues her mission as IEEE vice-president until 2024.
