School of Engineering present at various education fairs

On 6 March, the University of Minho hosted the ‘Unlimited Future – Masters and Postgraduate Courses Fair’, considered to be the largest in the country in this field. The event, which aims to help visitors take the next step in their academic career, took place in the CP II hall on the Gualtar campus in Braga between 2.30pm and 6.30pm, with free entry.

At this event, UMinho and its Organisational Units reinforced the promotion of their master’s, doctoral and postgraduate programmes. The offer of non-conferring degree courses integrated into the Postgraduate Alliance – Skills for the Future project (geared towards the specific needs of the labour market and society), UMinho Mais Digital courses (geared towards the digital development of students), UMinho Exec (which promotes executive training and tailor-made training), as well as the Job Exchange, which advertises hundreds of job opportunities for students and alumni, were also included.

In addition to the training on offer, it was also possible to find out in detail about the services, mobility programmes, research and thesis opportunities in a business/institutional environment offered at UMinho. Students, technicians and professors from the institution interacted with the participants to clarify their doubts.

In addition to UMinho, there were representatives from 20 national educational institutions presenting their 2nd and 3rd cycle programmes.

This initiative is taking place in a month in which UMinho’s programmes will be showcased all over the country. During the week of 12 to 15 March, UMinho was also present at ‘Qualifica’, which took place at Exponor in Matosinhos, and also at ‘Futurália’, which ran from 26 to 29 March in Lisbon. The month of April will kick off with another edition of ‘UPA – UMinho de Portas Abertas’, which will take place on the Gualtar campus in Braga, an event that expects around 5,000 visitors from primary and secondary education, as well as undergraduates.
