Tun’Obebes, the female engineering choir of the University of Minho, presented “Muralha”, a new original song that pays tribute to the city of Guimarães and academic life in the “cradle city”. The single premiered exclusively on YouTube, accompanied by an official video clip recorded in various emblematic settings in Guimarães.
The music video was first shown publicly on 20 September at the University of Minho’s Caixa Alumni 2025 Meeting, held at the Multiusos de Guimarães. At this special moment, Tun’Obebes took to the stage to perform Muralha live, in a performance that also included other songs from their first album of the same name: Muralha.
With its own composition and interpretation, the song evokes the connection between the university experience and the historical and cultural identity of Guimarães, reflecting friendship, joy and a spirit of unity. The single marks the start of a new phase for Tuna, which has been preparing its debut album over the last year.
According to Ana Mendonça, Magíster da Tun’Obebes, ‘the official launch event for the first album will be announced soon, which promises to be a memorable moment for Tuna, for the city of Guimarães and for the academic community of the University of Minho’.
