Professor Emeritus António Gomes Correia, from the Department of Civil Engineering at the School of Engineering of the University of Minho, has been re-elected as an external member, in his capacity as a foreign personality with significant international experience in the field of higher education and research, to the Board of Directors (2025-2030) of Gustave Eiffel University in France.

Internationally recognised, Gustave Eiffel University ranks among the 75 best in the world and is ranked 1st in France in the field of Transportation Science & Technology, according to ShanghaiRanking’s Academic Ranking.

This re-election reflects the prestige and relevance of Professor António Gomes Correia’s work in the field of Civil Engineering, strengthening the link between the University of Minho and one of the world’s leading institutions in the sector.
