CEB researcher wins National Innovation Agency’s BfK Award

Researcher Clarisse Nobre, from UMinho’s Centre of Biological Engineering (CEB), won the National Innovation Agency’s Born from Knowledge Award for her project cLabel+: Clean Label, which aims to transform calorific sugars (sucrose) into healthy sugars with high functional value (prebiotics) in finished foods.

The winners of the various categories of this 10th edition of the Crédito Agrícola Entrepreneurship and Innovation Award were honoured on 28 November at the Torre do Tombo auditorium in Lisbon. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Agriculture and Food, Maria do Céu Antunes. The initiative was organised by Crédito Agrícola, in partnership with the P-BIO association and the Ministry of Agriculture.
