On September 27, at 11 am, the Advisory Board of the School of Engineering met at the Azurém campus. In this meeting the presidency of EEUM presented the main indicators and evolution of the School of Engineering in the last 3 years. The advisors were asked to share experiences and reflections resulting from the pandemic period in their activities (business, municipal, associative, academic, etc.) in order to bring to EEUM a greater understanding of the effects of this pandemic and this new reality in which we live.
The Advisory Board is composed of the President of the School of Engineering, the President of the School Council, representatives of the interface units associated with the School, namely the Center for Computer Graphics (CCG), the Innovation in Polymer Engineering (PIEP), TecMinho, and the Centre for Waste Valorisation (CVR).
Ten external personalities are also invited to participate in this organ, namely António Rodrigues, CEO of the Casais Group; Carlos Mineiro Aires, President of the Portuguese Engineers Order; Carlos Ribas, Technical Administrator of Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal S.A. ; Domingos Bragança, Mayor of Guimarães; Ricardo Rio, Mayor of Braga (absent from the meeting due to agenda impediment); José Gonçalves, President & Country Managing Director of Accenture Portugal; Lars Montelius, General Director of INL – International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory; Morten Kroger, CEO of Innovayt A/S; Paulo Coelho Lima, Administrator of Lameirinho – Indústria Têxtil S.A. and Teresa Martins, CEO of NEADVANCE – Machine Vision S.A.
Until 2022 the members of the new Advisory Board of UMinho’s School of Engineering will reflect and share with the institution potential EEUM actions in its connection with companies/industry, the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, management and regional development, as well as in its connection with other institutions.
