Sílvia Fernandes, researcher at the BIOSYSTEMS Group of the Centre of Biological Engineering, and undertaking her PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering, was awarded at the international conference European Biotechnology Congress 2022, held in Prague, Czech Republic. She won the 3rd place of the best oral presentations with the topic: “Production of gluconic acid by Aspergillus niger from sugar cane molasses and grape must: effect of the increase of the air pressure and operation mode”.

This event, organized by the European Biotechnology Thematic Network Association, took place between 5 and 7 October.
