On May 21, José Machado, Director of the ALGORITMI Center, took part in Design Commit 2024, the 1st International Conference On Design And Industry, held at the Braga Forum, in a panel entitled “Impact of Robotics and AI in the future of Design and Industry”.

The aim of this conference was to encourage and actively develop joint reflection within the framework of a transdisciplinary scientific exchange, which will boost innovation through Design and Industry for a better future with a strategic vision.

This was an excellent opportunity to discover how cutting-edge technologies are shaping the future of design and industry.

On May 24, also at the Braga Forum, José Machado and Paulo Novais, representing the ALGORITMI Centre and LASI, attended the “Artificial Intelligence in Business” Conference, organized by the Braga Business Association, where they discussed the potential of Artificial Intelligence in Industry.

These issues have been increasingly debated in society and experts from UMinho’s School of Engineering have been increasingly asked to shed light on how to take advantage of them.
