On February 5th, another edition of Tomorrow Needs You – Employment Day at the University of Minho’s School of Engineering took place. This initiative has established itself as one of the main employability events in the region, giving students and alumni direct contact with the job market.

This year, more than 80 companies and organizations were present, offering around 4500 career opportunities, from short-term internships and dissertation projects to job vacancies for the school of engineering graduates.

The 2025 edition stood out for its strong involvement of students in the organization of the event. Three academic groups – EPIC Junior, Formula Student and IEEE – had the autonomy to manage their own hubs at the fair, selecting and inviting the entities participating in these spaces. In addition, student volunteers acted as junior staff throughout the event, creating excellent networking opportunities with the companies present.

EEUM’s Employment Day continues to be an essential milestone in bringing students, alumni and companies closer together, paving the way for new opportunities for collaboration and professional development.
