Engineering School attends 5th Braga Economics Week

The School of Engineering was present at the 5th Economy Week – Economy and Sustainability, which took place at the Altice Forum Braga and brought together until 27th May various initiatives, personalities and entities of reference from industry, teaching, technology, associations and politics.

On 25 and 26 May the School of Engineering had a stand located at the entrance to the pavilion of the Altice Forum Braga, where it promoted its 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle training courses.

Also on 26 May, from 10am to 1pm, the programme “Tomorrow Needs Engineering – from the Academy to the Market” took place on the Business Showcase Stage, located in the pavilion of the Altice Forum Braga. This programme aimed to disseminate some of the UMinho spin-offs with close links to the School of Engineering, demonstrating not only the applicability of what is studied and researched here, but also the entrepreneurial spirit present in this academy.

TecMinho opened this programme by presenting some programmes available to support entrepreneurship projects, followed by the presentation of 9 UMinho spin-offs: Solfarcos, BeKoffee, ESI – Engenharia, Soluções e Inovação, Givaware, B4Logic, KEEP Solutions, Softview, OmniumAI – Solutions for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and To Be Green.

The School of Engineering thanks the collaboration of these UMinho spin-offs in this event, as well as the interest of all those who passed by our stand to get to know the educational offer of the School of Engineering of UMinho.
