On the 9th and 10th of May, took place the Habilitation Exams of the Knowledge Area in Science and Engineering of Polymers and Composites of Ana Vera Alves Machado Nóbrega, professor of the Department of Polymer Engineering of the School of Engineering. Ana Nóbrega was unanimously approved by the members of the jury.

The exams took place in a mixed format (presence and videoconference), with the following members of the jury: PhD Pedro Miguel Ferreira Martins Arezes, Full Professor of the Production and Systems Department of the Engineering School of the University of Minho (Chairman), PhD Jorge Fernando Jordão Coelho, Full Professor of the Chemical Engineering Department of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra, PhD João Filipe Colardelle da Luz Mano, Full Professor of the Chemistry Department of the University of Aveiro, PhD Philippe Cassagnau, Full Professor of Ingénierie des Materiaux Polymères, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, Villeurbanne, France, PhD José António Colaço Gomes Covas, Full Professor of the Polymer Engineering Department of the Engineering School of the University of Minho and PhD José António Teixeira, Full Professor of the Biological Engineering Department of the Engineering School of the University of Minho.

The habilitation degree is granted to professors to whom a high merit professional curriculum demonstrating relevant research activity, advanced training or supervision is recognised, along with the authorship of high quality scientific papers after obtaining a doctoral degree.
