As part of the “Engineering & Art” initiative and also part of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the School of Engineering, the photographic exhibition “The New Fools”, by Leonor Lapa, senior technician of the School of Engineering, is on exhibition in the months of June and July, in the central nave of the Azurém campus.

“What if we looked at the present with the eyes of those who, in the past, imagined the future?”

The photographic exhibition “The New Fools” invites a visual reflection on the passage of time, the expectations we have built and the world we have created in the meantime.

Through eight photographs taken on the Gualtar and Azurém campuses, this exhibition crosses memory, imagination and reality, questioning progress, the contradictions of contemporaneity and the challenges of the future.

An artistic look that involves the academic community of the University of Minho itself, with extras and collaborators who give life to scenarios between utopia and reality.

A photographic journey between what we dreamed of being and what we are today.

The Presidency of the School of Engineering and the Commemorative Committee of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the EEUM invite the entire community and other interested parties to visit this exhibition.
