José Luís Barroso de Aguiar, Associate Professor with Aggregation of the Department of Civil Engineering of the School of Engineering, was elected director of the Center for Territory, Environment and Construction.

The inauguration took place on the 19th and was attended by Pedro Arezes, Dean of the School of Engineering, who congratulated the new director, and António Vicente, Vice Dean of the School of Engineering.

José Luís Barroso de Aguiar holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Minho. He is a researcher in the field of durability of materials, polymers in concrete, phase change materials and geopolymers, having already oriented 44 master students and 8 PhD students. He is the author and co-author of several published books and more than 150 articles in national and international journals.
