The project CirMAt – CIRcular aggregates for sustainable road and building MATerials led by the dst group and having as partners the ISISE research center of the UMinho School of Engineering, the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) was highlighted at European level by the Financial Mechanism Office (FMO), in a factsheet regarding the contributions of EEA Grants to the European Green Deal.

The dst project that will develop innovative materials for construction from waste was selected in October by the Ministry of the Environment as part of the tender for the promotion of circular economy in construction, under the EEA Grants Environment program, being 85% financed by the European Economic Area.

“We want to drastically reduce the use of natural resources and energy-intensive products and boost the reintroduction of waste and by-products in the value chain, as part of the concept of circular economy and in the path of sustainable construction,” said José Teixeira, CEO of dst.
