School of Engineering attends Casais Group’s Connect to Build conference series

The President of the School of Engineering, Professor Pedro Arezes, took part in the Round Table ‘Partnerships to Promote Success and Business Growth’, as part of the Connect to Build Conference cycle, organised by the Casais Group, with the theme ‘Breaking new ground with successful partnerships’, alongside Alexandre Fernandes, Executive Director of Real Estate Development at Sonae Sierra; Manuela Vaz Soares, President and Country Managing Director Accenture Portugal; Pedro Arezes, President of the UMinho School of Engineering; Ramiro Brito, President of AEMinho.

The Connect to Build cycle is dedicated to sharing knowledge and reflections on the future of the construction sector, based on innovation and sustainability. This initiative is a partnership between the Casais Group and Observador.

António Carlos Rodrigues, CEO of the Casais Group, emphasises the importance of this initiative: “Connect to Build is born of the conviction that the future of construction depends on solid partnerships, constant innovation and a shared vision. This cycle is much more than a series of conferences – it’s a space where people and organisations prepare for the challenges and opportunities of a sector in transformation.”

This was the first of four sessions planned for Connect to Build 2025, the idea of which is to present success stories that bring complementary contributions to the sector, contributing to its sustainable and innovative development.
