School of Engineering ranks third nationally in EngiRank 2025

The School of Engineering of the University of Minho (EEUM) is ranked 40th in Europe in its field, according to EngiRank 2025 – European Ranking of Engineering Programmes, presented on 1 December in Brussels (Belgium).

The third edition of this annual list compiled by the Polish Perspektywy Education Foundation evaluated around 300 institutions from 36 countries, 55 more institutions than the previous year. EEUM remains in the global top 40, despite the more competitive and demanding scenario, and ranks 3rd in Portugal.

With a final score of 72.15 points, it stands out in the criteria of internationalisation and research. In the seven scientific sub-areas evaluated, it ranks 24th overall in medical engineering, 30th in civil engineering and 66th in materials engineering.

The European podium is occupied by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Delft University of Technology (TU Delft, Netherlands) and the University of Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium).
