The University of Minho spin-off, Solfarcos, received another business visit as part of the Economy Weeks promoted by InvestBraga and the Municipality of Braga, with the presence of Ricardo Rio, Mayor of Braga and InvestBraga, Carlos Silva, executive director of InvestBraga, and Gil Carvalho, director of the Economic Dynamisation and Investment Attraction Area.

Recognised in 2024 as one of the TOP 10 Best SMEs in the Cosmetics and Beauty Products sector, according to the ScorePME method, Solfarcos is an example of the dynamism and international vocation of Braga’s business fabric. The vast majority of the company’s resources are highly qualified, coming mainly from the areas of Biological Engineering, Biochemistry and Biology at UMinho’s School of Engineering. This institutional visit highlighted the company’s contribution to the local economy and to the projection of Braga as a centre for innovation and scientific research.
