Textile Engineering present in the event Moda (IN)sustentável 2

The second edition of Moda (IN)sustentável 2 took place in Braga Municipal Market, on July 14th and counted with the collaboration of several members of the School of Engineering community, namely, in the following moments of the programme:

» Round Table “What can (IN)sustainable fashion communication do?” with the participation of two former EEUM students, José Lima, of the Degree in Design and Fashion Marketing, Marita Moreno of the post-graduation in Design and Marketing, and professor Cristina Broega, of the Textile Engineering Department.

» Fashion show with footwear developed by students of the Degree in Design and Fashion Marketing.

» Sustainability Exhibition with projects by students from the Degree in Fashion Design and Marketing and the Master in Product Design and Marketing in Textiles, Clothing and Accessories, as well as footwear designed by students from the Degree in Fashion Design and Marketing.

Discussing fashion and sustainability and involving sellers and employees of the Market was the aim of the event and the Square – Braga Municipal Market was the stage for this initiative, promoted by Passeio – Urban Art and Culture Platform (CECS – Centre for Communication and Society Studies), in collaboration with the master’s degrees in Fashion Communication Design and in Communication, Art and Culture, of the University of Minho, with the aim of publicising sustainable brands and practices in articulation with the Market’s philosophy: small products, selected products.

In addition to the fashion show, which featured well-known faces of the Market, it was also possible to attend the Round of conversation and the Sustainability Show of sustainable fashion products and accessories.
