Join’19 took place between the 3rd and 5th of June at the Campus of Gualtar.

The program included technical sessions on blockchain, computer graphics and web development, presentation of dissertation proposals, as well as hundreds of job opportunities.

As in previous editions, students have been called upon to respond to various challenges and had the possibility of earning very attractive prizes, such as FNAC vouchers, JOIN dinner tickets and a XIAOMI MI Electric Trotinete.

The highlight, however, is the approximately 800 job offers and other opportunities that several companies presented to the students, reflecting their recognition of the quality of the IT training given at UMinho, in a city that is increasingly declared as a hub of reference.

Companies such as Accenture, Primavera BSS, VILT, Retail Consult, Outsystems, Konk Consulting, Fujitsu, and many others stood on stands, presenting summer internships and professionals vacancies, research grants, freelancing jobs, and remote collaboration opportunities to students.

This edition of the JOIN was organized by the School of Engineering of the University of Minho, by the School of Sciences of the University of Minho, and by the Student Centers CESIUM – Student Center for Systems and Computer Engineering at the University of Minho, NECC – Student Center of Computer Science, and by NEFUM – Nucleus of Students of Eng. Physics and Physics of the University of Minho.
