The Department of Informatics organizes annually together with CESIUM (Informatics Engineering), NECC (Computer Sciences) and NEFUM (Physics Engineering) Student Centers the “JOIN – Informatics Engineering Days of the University of Minho”.

The event was already scheduled for the next 4th to 7th May 2020. Due to the situation created by the new Coronavirus and the consequent pandemic, the organization made the decision to cancel the event.

Desolate to find that JOIN had a budget that at this point would be useless, they decided to donate this amount, of € 10 000 to the League of Friends of the Braga Hospital Braga, to be used for a good even greater than the original event.
