Exams took place on 6 and 7 June at the Noble Hall of the University of Minho.
The Habilitation Exams required by Professor Raúl Fangueiro, Associate Professor of the sub-group of Metallurgy and Mechanics of Materials of the Mechanics Engineering Department of EEUM, took place on June 6 and 7, in the noble hall of the University of Minho, in Largo do Paço, Braga.
On June 7, Raúl Fangueiro presented a seminar with the theme “Auxetic Fiber-based Materials and Composites”. Following the exams, the Jury decided to approve Raúl Fangueiro, unanimously.
Professors Vítor Ferreira, from the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Aveiro and Professor Mário Araújo, retired from the Department of Textile Engineering of the University of Minho, were the main examiners. Professor Teresa Vieira, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Coimbra, was in charge of the curriculum vitae appreciation, and Professor Rogério Colaço from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Instituto Superior Técnico was in charge of the curricular program.
In the discussion of the seminar presented was Professor Torres Marques, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto.
The habilitation degree is granted to professors to whom a high merit professional curriculum demonstrating relevant research activity, advanced training or supervision is recognised, along with the authorship of high quality scientific papers after obtaining a doctoral degree.
