On 27th and 28th October, at the B2 Auditorium of the Pedagogical Complex II, at the Gualtar Campus, in Braga, took place the habilitation exams of the knowledge branch in Electronic Engineering and Computers Branch required by Dr. Filomena Maria da Rocha Menezes Oliveira, Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial Electronics of EEUM.

The Jury was composed by the Dean of the School of Engineering, Professor Pedro Arezes, and Professors Hélder de Jesus Araújo, Full Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra; Fernando Manuel Ferreira Lobo Pereira, Full Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto; Dr. José Higino Gomes Correia, Full Professor of the Department of Industrial Electronics of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho; Dr. Estela Guerreiro da Silva Bicho Erlhagen, Full Professor of the Department of Industrial Electronics of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho; and Dr. Luís Filipe Barbosa de Almeida Alexandre, Full Professor of the Department of Informatics of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Beira Interior.

Following the exams, the Jury decided unanimously to approve Filomena Maria da Rocha Menezes Oliveira.

The habilitation degree is granted to professors to whom a high merit professional curriculum demonstrating relevant research activity, advanced training or supervision is recognised, along with the authorship of high quality scientific papers after obtaining a doctoral degree.
