On the afternoon of December 19, a solidarity soiree organized by the Biomedical Engineering Student Office (GAEB) took place in Auditorium B1 of Pedagogical Complex 2 on the University of Minho’s Gualtar campus.
This initiative involved users of Lar de Santo Adrião and Lar ResiSenior Gold, allowing them to spend an afternoon socializing and doing activities with EEUM Biomedical Engineering students:
– Various performances and shows enlivened the atmosphere;
– Got Talent” competition: in which the students showed off their talents and surprised all the participants, with prizes being awarded;
– Christmas coffee breaks: a special snack, full of flavor and festive spirit;
– Solidarity collection of food items, which were donated to the Padre David Social Center to bring a little joy to those who need it most.
Students also had to pay a symbolic fee (€1-€2) to take part, and the money raised was donated to the same organization.
In the words of the GAEB, “the true Christmas spirit is one that is shared” and the intention of this initiative was “to spread smiles and make this a truly special day!”
The School of Engineering congratulates the GAEB on this initiative, which reflects the spirit of solidarity in our academic community.
