Against a backdrop of increasing digitalisation, cybersecurity plays a central role in protecting information, ensuring service continuity and maintaining trust in organisations.
With the aim of strengthening the capacity of the local business and community sector, the Municipality of Fafe hosted, on 20 February at the Town Hall, a Cybersecurity Diagnostic Workshop aimed at businesses, associations and institutions in the municipality, as part of the C-Network, and led by Henrique Santos, a lecturer and researcher at the School of Engineering.
This initiative is promoted by the Northern Cybersecurity Competence Centre and is being implemented in the region by the University of Minho, in collaboration with the Ave Intermunicipal Community (CIM do Ave), with the support of the Municipality of Fafe.
Objectives of the initiative:
The workshop takes a practical, dynamic and applied approach, with the following objectives:
To raise awareness among organisations of the importance of cybersecurity;
To support an initial assessment of digital maturity and skills;
To present the essential pillars of cybersecurity;
