On the period February 26th – March 01st is running, at Mechanical Engineering Department from school of Engineering of University of Minho, coordinated by Prof. José Machado, the new project Blended Intensive Program (BIP) entitled as: Cyber-Physical Systems Design in the context of Industry 4.0

BIP are short physical learning, teaching and training programs for students (5-30 days) combined with a compulsory virtual phase (cooperative online learning exchange). The physical activity should take place in an university or subject-specifically with an institution affiliated with the university.

In this project, there are attending the teachers and students from the Partners:

– Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania

– Rzeszów University of Technology, Poland

– University of Cagliari, Italy

– Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland

The teaching course for the students is dived in five modules:

  • Modelling and Simulation of Mechanical Behavior of Cyber-Physical Systems
  • Assessment of Risk of Cyber-Physical Systems
  • Robotic Applications of Cyber-Physical Systems
  • Interconnectivity of Cyber-Physical Systems
  • Smart Maintenance of Cyber-Physical Systems

This week (26.02.2024 – 01.03.2024) all team is working in person at the University of Minho, then until the end of March, project will run based on online teaching methods and tools.

This project is a great opportunity to strength the cooperation between universities and for the students to get the new knowledge, to share the experiences from studies at their universities and to establish the new institutional collaborations.
