On July 15, at 10:00 am, the swearing-in of the Board of the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering for the 2026-2027 biennium took place in the department’s meeting room.
Joana Azeredo, Associate Professor with Aggregation, was re-elected Department Director, continuing with Isabel Belo, Assistant Professor, as Deputy Director, Isabel Belo.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by several members of the department, including teachers, technicians and operational assistants.
On behalf of the Presidency of the School of Engineering was the President of the School, Professor António Vicente, who took office, and the School Secretary, Dr. Ana Paula Brites, who conducted the ceremony.
In her speech, Joana Azeredo made a point of thanking all the members of the department, teachers, administrative and management technicians, technical and operational assistants, as well as the students, for their commitment and dedication in all the activities of the department over the last term. He also mentioned the importance of close collaboration with the Center for Biological Engineering for the success of these same activities and for the daily life of the department.
