Researcher Margarida Soares, from the CVR – Centre for Waste Recovery at UMinho, has been honoured with the Engineering Best Researcher Award, presented by the Best Paper Awards, which recognises the excellence of young scientists at an international level

The award highlights her contribution to the field of waste recovery and the development of sustainable solutions, in line with the principles of the circular economy. With a degree in Biological Engineering from EEUM, she dedicates her research to creating innovative solutions that promote resource efficiency and the transition to more circular models. This recognition also reinforces the CVR’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
