Paulo Sampaio approved in Habilitation Exams

On November 14 and 15, Associate Professor Paulo Alexandre Costa Araújo Sampaio, from the School of Engineering, took his Aggregation exams in the field of Industrial and Systems Engineering. The professor of the School of Engineering was unanimously approved by the members of the jury.

The exams took place in a mixed format (presential and videoconference), having as President of the Jury Dr. José Manuel Vasconcelos Valério de Carvalho, Full Professor of the Department of Production and Systems of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho, and as voting members Dr. Pedro Manuel Tavares Lopes de Andrade Saraiva, Full Professor of the Chemical Engineering Department of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra, PhD Ana Paula Ferreira Dias Barbosa Póvoa, Full Professor of the Engineering and Management Department of the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon, José António Sarsfield Pereira Cabral, Retired Full Professor of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, Dr. Elisabeth de Azevedo Reis, Full Professor of the Department of Quantitative Methods for Management and Economics of ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, Maria Madalena Teixeira Araújo, Full Professor of the Department of Production and Systems of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho and Doctor Cláudio Manuel Martins Alves, Full Professor of the Department of Production and Systems of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho.

The degree of aggregation is awarded to professors with a professional curriculum of high merit who demonstrate a relevant activity at the level of research, training or advanced supervision, and the authorship of scientific papers of recognized quality after obtaining the doctoral degree.
