The Jubilation Ceremony for Professor Goran Putnik, Full Professor at the School of Engineering’s Production and Systems Department, took place on 6 February at the Azurém campus.

The programme began at 5pm, with the reception of guests and the audience, and the opening included speeches by Rui Vieira de Castro, Rector of the University of Minho, Pedro Arezes, President of the School of Engineering, and the Director of the Production and Systems Department, Professor Paulo Sampaio, followed by praise for the Jubilate.

The programme also included speeches by Madalena Araújo, full professor at the School of Engineering at the University of Minho, and Paulo Ávila, coordinating professor at the Higher Institute of Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto.

At 6pm, Professor Goran Putnik’s final lecture began: “Virtualisation: from computing and product to company and society. Past, Present and Future”.

The ceremony ended with a Green of Honour, during which all those present were able to personally congratulate the jubilariate.
