Grants, programs and experiences were presented to students and researchers of the University of Minho
The School of Engineering, in co-organization with the Fundação Luso-Americana para o Desenvolvimento (FLAD), the Fullbright Commission Portugal, the MIT Portugal Program and the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program, presented the second edition of the “Study and Research in the United States” session, an event that took place on the 19th, at the Campus of Gualtar, in Braga.
Grants, programs and experiences in the United States were presented to students and researchers of the University of Minho interested in conducting a period of academic training at a university or research center in the USA, at an event that brought together about 70 people.
The opening session was attended by Pedro Arezes, Dean of the School of Engineering and Director of the MIT Portugal Program, followed by the presentation of the opportunities of the partners of this event. Doubts were clarified regarding the application process and the stay in that country, with the testimonies of Flávia Barbosa, student of the Doctoral Program in Leaders for Technical Industries of the School of Engineering, and Cristiana Carvalho, alumna of the EEUM.
