The School of Engineering of UMinho announced the appeal of our PhD student Hatice Kirkici Gonçalves, from the Department of Production and Systems of UMinho, to collect goods to be sent to Turkey, and the adhesion of the academic community, companies and population of Braga and Guimarães was massive.

For logistical reasons determined by the organisation of the campaign itself, it was not possible to continue with the collection of goods, since it ended on 13 February. We will inform the academic community about other campaigns that will be organised and that we will join.

We thank all those who contributed to this campaign, in particular the academic community, the rectory, administration and academic association of the University of Minho, the cities of Braga and Guimarães, and the company Torrestir, always sensitive to these issues.
