On November 8, the School of Engineering hosted Jinan University, represented by Professor Wang Huadong, Dean of the School of Medicine, Professor Ye Wen-Cai, Dean of College of Pharmacy, Professor Ke Ding, Dean of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Zhong Jingxiang, Associate Dean of First Affiliated Hospital, and by Mr Peter Xu of the International Office.

Following an institutional mission on Europe from this university, and considering areas of interest for possible future collaborations, Professor Jorge Pedrosa, Vice Dean of the School of Medicine of the University of Minho and Professor Jorge Correia-Pinto, Director of the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS) also accompanied this visit, which also included the presentation of the Centre of Biological Engineering.
