António Gomes Correia, full professor of the Civil Engineering department, was elected last December 10th as a member of the Board of Directors of Gustave Eiffel University, based on the criterion of being a “foreign or French personality with significant professional experience in the field of higher education and research in countries other than France”. The term of office is five years, renewable.

Gustave Eiffel University was created on January 1, 2020. It replaces the University of Marne-la-Vallée and the French Institute of Transport, Planning and Networks Sciences and integrates the National School of Architecture of Paris- Est, the National Higher School of Architecture in Electronics and Electrotechnology of Paris and the National School of Geographic Sciences on the same date.
