The School of Engineering was present, once again, in the Braga Economic Week, in what is already the 6th edition of this event promoted by the Municipality of Braga and InvestBraga.
The event took place from May 22 to 26, at Altice Fórum Braga, with several initiatives and events promoted by the main stakeholders and companies in the Region, and its main theme was Research and Technology Transfer.
Given this theme, the School of Engineering will be present at the Entrepreneurial Exhibition with the interfaces CVR – Centre for Waste Valorisation, and CCG – Center for Computer Graphics, as well as CEB – Center for Biological Engineering, and the spinoff UMinho Keep Solutions, between May 23rd and 25th
With the motto “From Braga to the World”, this exhibition was inaugurated on the 23rd by the Secretary of State for Labour, Miguel Fontes, in a space that welcomed the companies from the region of Braga that export, produce and provide services to the most demanding international markets, and that create value and qualified employment in the region. On the same day, from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm, the Economic Forum – Research and Technology Transfer took place, which included the debate “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Business Competitiveness”, with the participation of Madalena Alves and Paulo Novais, members of EEUM, as well as other renowned guests.
