Organized by CESIUM—the Computer Engineering Student Center at the University of Minho—the ENEI (National Computer Science Students’ Conference) took place from April 9 to 12 at the Fórum Braga.
Organized annually by the computer science student groups and associations of various national higher education institutions, ENEI is an event filled with lectures, workshops, roundtables, and many activities, aimed at students, professors, researchers, professionals, or any citizen interested in the field of computer science.
The program for this 17th edition included the participation of numerous companies with booths, thematic lectures featuring renowned speakers (including several EEUM faculty members, researchers, and alumni), workshops, roundtable discussions (including “The Next 50 Years in Computer Science Education”), social areas that provided ample opportunities for networking, contests, and evening social events for relaxation and leisure for participants who came from various parts of the country.
The event was supported by various organizations, such as the Municipality of Braga, the UMinho School of Engineering, and the Portuguese Engineers’ Association, as well as sponsored by dozens of companies, ensuring that all participants received coffee breaks, meals, and accommodation, in addition to a welcome kit and the chance to win great prizes such as a Sony PlayStation 5, a €300 travel voucher, a Xiaomi 4 Lite (2nd Gen) electric scooter, an Apple iPad 11” A16 128GB Wi-Fi (2025), an Interrail Global Pass (7 days of travel in Europe over 1 month), an Alpha Gamer Gaia v2 Chair, a Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World, Apple AirPods 4 Wireless with Active Noise Cancellation, an LG IPS 24GS60F-B 24″ Monitor, and many more.
