New CMEMS board takes office

The new board of the Center for MicroElectroMechanics Systems (CMEMS) took office on November 21 at 11:30 a.m. in the meeting room of the Chair of the School of Engineering. The new board will include Luís Miguel Valente Gonçalves as director and José Luís Carvalho Martins Alves and Susana Oliveira Catarino as deputy directors for this new three-year period.

The ceremony was attended by the President of the School of Engineering, Professor Pedro Arezes, and the Secretary of UOEI, Dr. Ana Paula Brites, the Vice-President of the School of Engineering, Professor Raúl Fangueiro and several CMEMS researchers.

Luís Miguel Valente Gonçalves is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Electronic Engineering, José Luís Carvalho Martins Alves is a Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Susana Oliveira Catarino is an Assistant Researcher at CMEMS.

The School of Engineering wishes the new board a term full of success and achievements.
