Graça Maria Henriques Minas and João Miguel Clemente Sena Esteves were reelected director and deputy director, respectively, of the Department of Industrial Electronics, for the 2023-2024 biennium. The investiture ceremony took place on January 19th, in the department’s meeting room.

The Department of Industrial Electronics (DEI) of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho develops activities in teaching, research and provision of services to the community.

Its main teaching projects are the Bachelor and Master degrees in Industrial Electronics and Computer Engineering, Telecommunications and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Physics Engineering.

The DEI focuses on the following research areas: Control, Automation and Robotics; Electronics and Instrumentation; Power Electronics and Actuators; Industrial Informatics and Telecommunications.

The department has facilities at the two poles of the University of Minho, in Braga and Guimarães.
