Project aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of engineering education in the Russian Federation and Tajikistan

The School of Engineering of the University of Minho received a delegation of about 40 participants from universities of Russia, Tajikistan, Romania, Latvia and England, under the ERASMUS + EXTEND Project. The members of the partner universities were welcomed by the Dean of the School of Engineering, João L. Monteiro, and by the Head of the Internationalization Office, Sofia Barbosa Pereira

This project aims to promote a change in the system of pedagogical training of engineering professors in the Russian Federation and Tajikistan, through the modernization of the curriculum of doctoral programs and the development of a sustainable system of re-education of teachers and support of consultation by Network of Centers of Excellence in Engineering Education.

Also included in this visit, the Dean of the School of Engineering received the Rector of the National University of Tajik, Imomzoda Muhammadyusuf Saidali, as well as the Head of the International Cooperation Office, Amdastiete Avzalov This meeting seek to promote cooperation activities with this University of Tajikistan, aiming at training professors and collaboration at the level of doctoral programs.
