Rafaela Cunha, Fashion Design and Marketing student, was the winner of the IV Young Creators Competition 2020 promoted by the Municipality of Braga. Diana Pereira and Luana Silva, also students of Design and Fashion Marketing at the School of Engineering, were finalists in this contest, making it more challenging for the jury to select the winners.

“The decision of the jury and the public was not at easy, which means that there is a lot of talent in Braga and the existence of this contest, which is in its fourth edition, makes perfect sense,” said Sameiro Araújo, Deputy Mayor and responsible for Youth and Sports.

The awards were delivered on December 4th, at the Salão Nobre dos Paços do Concelho in the presence of the Mayor of Braga, Ricardo Rio, and the vice-president, Sameiro Araújo.

Promoted by the Municipality of Braga and sponsored by the designer Elsa Barreto, this edition of the competition challenged young people to create proposals with the theme ‘Bracara Augusta’. This year, and due to the current pandemic context, the Young Creators 2020 contest made a difference, with the winners to be chosen through an online vote.
