The Center of Biological Engineering of the University of Minho promoted between November 19th and 27th the Science and Technology Week 2022.

The program started on November 19th, with the CEB Talk 2022, in the Jorge Barradas Room of the Nogueira da Silva Museum. This session, open to the entire community and the general public, included the intervention of three researchers from the Center for Biological Engineering, for a moment of relaxation and uncomplication of knowledge about their research areas: Carla Silva – From Nature to Textiles and Cosmetics, Sílvio Santos – Good viruses to combat the consequences of bad viruses and Ana Nicolau – Protozoa, the forgotten collaborators of the WWTPs.

In addition to this activity, “Little Scientists” allowed the little ones to travel through the world of microorganisms – our greatest allies!-, through small scientific activities; “CEB in School” took researchers to schools to share their discoveries and experiences with students – the scientists of the future; “The School goes to CEB” allowed several schools in the county to visit the CEB and their students to see up close the activity developed by researchers. To end the week, OPEN DAY @ CEB was the open day, in which the community, in general, had the opportunity to embark on the adventure of knowledge of Biotechnology & Bioengineering!
