EEUM received a delegation from the University of Vigo, Spain, composed of Juan Pardo Froján, director of the School of Industrial Engineering, Juan Pou Saracho , coordinator of the course of Biomedical Engineering and several professors of that university. In order to get to know and verify the implementation of the course of Biomedical Engineering at EEUM, due to the creation of this same course at that university, the delegation had the opportunity to visit the pedagogical and research laboratories.

The delegation was received by the Dean of EEUM, João L. Monteiro, by the Vice Dean, Rosa Maria Vasconcelos, by the Director of the Integrated Master in Biological Engineering, João Monteiro Peixoto, by several professors coordinating the branches of the course and by Sofia Barbosa Pereira, coordinator of the EEUM Internationalization Office. This was followed by a visit to the pedagogical laboratories of the branches of Clinical Engineering and Medical Electronics, as well as to the research laboratories.

This visit to the EEUM was carried out in the wake of collaborative activities already existing between the two Schools, in particular in the promotion of Portugal-Spain cooperation.
